i have been to italy to napoli two times and visited pompeii on my own all day and it was awesome i felt like i was walking into the past up close to see the buildings and other things and i spend the day there i camped near there and it was truly a vacation i wanted back in 2001 in january it was cold but not bad it felt warm in the sun strangely to say its because the volcano is heated underground thats why it keeps area warm that is closest to the mountain. i plan to go again before it erupts again i dont want to wait to long
